Will LeBron James Surpass Jordan Status? Yes, If He Goes To the Nets

Where will LeBron James end up?

The topic of King Jame's destination is under constant debate.

But, there is only one team in the LeBron James hunt that has the ability to buy LeBron James and surround him with the talent that he is looking for: The New Jersey Nets.

With so many questions surrounding the LeBron James free agency saga, there is only one question that LeBron James should be asking himself: Which team will help me to be one of the best players to ever play the game?

And once again, the answer is the New Jersey Nets.

Since LeBron James has entered the NBA straight out of high school, there have been constant comparisons to Michael Jordan.

Are we all witnesses of the young star that will one day overcome Michael Jordan and become the best player to ever play the game?

I believe we are, if LeBron James decides to go to the New Jersey Nets.

Let's take a look at all the factors about going to the Nets that are appealing to King James.

First, as I have said before, they have the ability to sign LeBron James to a maximum contract. Once they have James, they also have cap space to sign a supporting cast capable of surrounding James with the talent needed to win championships on a consistent basis.

What that specific supporting cast will be is up for debate. Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and Joe Johnson are all available.

I'll let you decide what that combination could be. But, if you want my opinion, I think Dwayne Wade and Lebron James would be the perfect dominant duo in New Jersey.

Dwayne Wade and Lebron James had a tremendous impact on their Olympic team together, and I believe they can bring that chemistry to the Nets and win many championships.

Also, with the NBA draft coming up, the Nets are predicted to draft Derrick Favors, the power forward out of Georgia Tech University.

He is a spectacular athlete with high flying abilities that will compliment  LeBron James and Dwayne Wade very well.

And yes, the New Jersey Nets also have the cap space to sign Derrick Favors if they select him with the third pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

No other teams that are in the hunt of signing James, have a top NBA draft pick that is capable of playing high caliber NBA basketball right out of the draft.

Not the Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks, the Miami Heat, the L.A. Clippers, or the Oklahoma City Thunder.

LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Derrick Favors playing together would be one of the best trios in the whole league.

All of this being said, the New Jersey Nets also have strong developing players in Brook Lopez and Devin Harris.

LeBron James said himself that he is looking for a team that has the capability to win multiple championships.  The New Jersey Nets have the capability of creating a team that will win multiple championships with LeBron James.

If LeBron James is to surpass the legacy that is Michael Jordan, or even go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game, it comes down to the number of championships won.

This is the most important reason why LeBron should go to the Nets.  They have the ability to give LeBron the team capable of winning multiple championships together.

So now "On to the Next One".

With Jay-Z being a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets as well as being good friends with LeBron James, the possibility of James wanting to play under Jay-Z in the Big Apple is a very good one.

I know this point has been stated many times, but I believe it is an important one. I think James wants to go somewhere that he can feel comfortable. Jay-Z would welcome roll out the red carpet to welcome LeBron James to the Nets.

Also, with the possibility of the Nets moving to Brooklyn, it will appeal to LeBron James in that there are two new beginnings in this situation: The New Jersey Nets organization, and the career of LeBron James.

How appealing to James would it be if he could be a part of turning an organization around from one of the worst records in NBA history to winning multiple championships?

I think it is safe to say that the upcoming month of July will be the most intriguing month in NBA free agency history with all of the free stars deciding what to do with their careers.

For LeBron James, his decision will decide whether or not he will be etched into the hearts of basketball fans as the greatest to ever play the game of basketball.

If we truly are witnesses of the one who will surpass Michael Jordan's legacy, he should sign with the New Jersey Nets. They have the best opportunity to give LeBron James what he truly wants: Multiple championships and title of the greatest.

You're on the clock LeBron, make the right decision.
